I was so moved by learning in bk abt how when the blood shortage started at the beg of COVID Tommy went to donate. #TodayforTommy we pack and prepare boxes of health and wellness products to be distributed to 300 families next Saturday. Some worked at food pantries, others donated to animal causes and still others donated blood. Locally, people participated and then shared their act of kindness on social media using the hashtag #Today for Tommy. The Tommy Raskin Memorial Fund for People and Animals, which was established through the Greater Washington Community Foundation, distributes money to charities Tommy Raskin cared about, including Oxfam, Give Directly, the Helen Keller Institute and Animal Outlook.
